PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF REIKI

Reiki can be used for both physical healing and general physical wellbeing. This means using Reiki when we are experiencing physical difficulties as well as using Reiki when we want to develop an overall feeling of physical wellbeing.

Reiki has consistently proven itself to be an excellent complementary treatment for physical ailments such as pain, fatigue and the physical experiences associated with psychological issues such as anxiety.

Reiki has significant benefits in reducing stress and anxiety which has a significant benefit for those experiencing physical illness such as cancer or recovery from physical trauma.

Reiki initiates a repair mechanism within our body that promotes healing, restoration, and energy. This is especially useful in helping the body recover from burnout, exhaustion, fatigue, and overall physical wellbeing.

As a result, Reiki can help improve breathing control, blood pressure, immune response, and important balance that can help the body work to heal itself.

It’s important to note that physical illness should always be treated with professional medical help with Reiki used as a complementary treatment.

PSYCHOLOGICAL BENEFITS OF REIKI

Reiki also provides significant psychological benefits. As with physical issues where core treatment should involve a medical professional, psychological issues can also benefit from professional help from a therapist who is trained in working with specific psychological diagnoses. Reiki can complement these treatments by assisting us to develop strategies for relaxation, stress reduction, and mindfulness.

We’ve written many blog posts about how Reiki can benefit us with psychological issues including:

Reiki has been shown to significantly improve mood and feelings of stress and anxiety. This is primarily a result of the relaxing physical benefits that Reiki can provide the body which in turn positively impacts overall psychological wellbeing.

Reiki can also provide psychological benefits by giving the client a sense of autonomy over their approach to dealing with various physical, psychological, and emotional issues. When a client feels a strong sense of ownership over their recovery, they often make significantly more progress than others who do have not a sense of purpose in their recovery.

EMOTIONAL & SOCIAL BENEFITS OF REIKI

Reiki can also provide significant benefits to managing our emotions and functioning within our social relationships and groups.

Reiki has developed 5 core principles, listed below, that focus on emotional issues as well as having a positive attitude towards wellbeing:

  • Just for today, I will not anger
  • Just for today, I will not worry
  • Just for today, I will be grateful
  • Just for today, I will do my work honestly
  • Just for today, I will be kind to all living things

We’ve written many blog posts about how Reiki can benefit us with emotional issues including:

As Reiki refers to life force and the energy within which we live, it also pays homage to our emotional connections to important relationships, as well as how we function within social groups. This can include family, friends, and more formal groups such as work situations. Reiki can help us improve our emotional outlook in a variety of situations by helping us regulate our emotions and review our situation from a place of safety, emotional strength, and clear wisdom.

Below are some blog posts we’ve written that detail how Reiki can be used within our social connections.
